You guy's have got me hooked. I just picked up another game used bat. My third in 4 day's. I guess once you start it's all over.

I just picked up this autoed gamer of Jermaine Dye from Ebay for what I think is a good price.

Let me know your thoughts.

Nice bat. Welcome to the insane asylum. My advice is---leave now, walk away from your computer before it's too late. It's like heroine, much more than an obsession. Closer to an addiction. There should be support groups for people like us. Have fun.

Yes this is an addicting hobby you start off with a cheap bat and you cant beleive you spent that much money for a cheap bat next thing you know your blowing money left and right and you look back like i must be nuts, when you first started you said to yourself I would never spend that much now your like not only have I spent that much, I spent that much eons ago, im way passed that now!!!

As far as photo matching I would love to do it but it is so extremly hard to photomatch as each players moment is not photographed, so you could be looking for a picture that doesnt even exist. I am not trying to discourage anyone else from doing it but for myself I dont have that kind of time or patience to do it. Ill scroll through pics some times if I get luck Hooray for me if not oh well.

Here is something really funny I got lucky I found a great photomatch to an item I have and someone is selling the negative on ebay of that moment and the auction ended. I asked the guy to buy it from him and hes too lazy to look for it. Its Killing me!!!

as i tell my wife at least i don't have a hobby like smoking or drinking heavily or crack or anything else that wastes money i see it all as a investment and owning a piece of history

Looks like I am done like the rest of you. I love it so what the $#%*! I tried posting another tread about your bat display case. Any of you have any pictures of yours you wouldn't mind sharing? I would love to build my own and I want to see how to go about it.

Thanks again,

Glen

Great bat chicagoglen. Agreed this hobby is new to me and I love it. I've always been a collector of sports things. When I was kid it was cards and autographs. Then I got into Mcfalanes sportsfigures. Now i'm just selling this stuff and buying game used stuff for the most part. Started with a Meigray Texas Rangers common player game used jersey (couldn't believe I could get one for less than a retail authentic) and then a game used bat from a dealer on this site. Now with Meigray 2 for 1 hockey sale, I've gotten couple NHL jerseys and helmets. I really like there program and certification. I wish they or someone else did it big time with MLB, NFL and NBA like them.
