What do you guys think of the Piazza game worn jersey offered by B&E collectables on eBay? I'll post link soon

Not positive as my pic ain't the greatest but the pics I found from 2001 in this style jersey appear to show that the mets on the front line up pretty closely if you look at the blue lines where it meets the right of the m n where it comes thru on the e. Although in the last two photos it looks like a blue maybe a Rawlings logo under the mets logo on the sleeve. I don't know what they wore in 2001 but if anyone does or could blow up those photos it may give an answer.

The jersey does not specify a year on it. It is not from 2001 or 2002, Mets jerseys were not made by majestic until 2003. It is could be a 2003 or 2005 (2004 had the patches that are not on this jersey)

I emailed the seller and asked about the 0062 tag and he replied he did not know, that he did not have the jersey on hand and that he would not have it until Wednesday.

Here are the issues I have with the jersey:

1. Piazza liked his jerseys with 2" extra body length, that jersey does not have a +2" tag on it. It does not have any of the Piazza charateristic I have seen in the past (Shorter sleeves, wider sleeves, extra legnth) It does not mean it was not his but that is an idicator of his jerseys.

2. No year tag to specify what season it is from.

3. Seller does not know if there is a 0062 tag on it but claims that it is a game jersey.

4. Pictures of the jersey are not close up and there is no way to determine if it has any use.

Jersey would have to be from 2003 or 2005 based on the following:

Rawlings made jerseys for the Mets exclusively 2000-2002

Piazza's last season with the Mets was 2005

The Mets had extra sleeve patches in 2004.

Majestic took over the supplier status for Mets unies in 2003.

All of the above are Rawlings jerseys.

If an AIS road (or any style) Mets gamer was used in 2000, AIS would have no manufacturer logo on either sleeve, as AIS wasn't a party to the MLB uniform contract. Mets jerseys with AIS sleeve logos are from minor league affiliates.

I have a Rickey Henderson road grey Mets AIS jersey. It doesn't have any sleeve logos. I have to check my records if its from 99 or 2000.

If there's a MLB logo on the back of the neck, it's from 2000. Without one, it's 1999.
