I've spent some time comparing MLB holograms ( using the numerical sequences of the holograms) from the Rangers' home ALCS games with play-by-play information from the games. I'm impressed with how careful the authenticators were, with apparently perfect accuracy in matching the hologrammed g-u items with game events.

My one suggestion is this: the authenticator needs to bone up on correct terminology. He used the term "foul tip" consistently for fouls that were hit on the ground near the batter's box, though they weren't foul tips by the rulebook. (Though TV commentators sometimes make the same error.) He also used the term "wild pitch" once for a pitch to the screen, though it wasn't a wild pitch officially since there were no runners on and it was only ball three.

These terminology errors illustrate the value of checking the numerical sequence around your hologram and comparing with game info ( such as PBP from retrosheet.org or MLB.com), as it often gives useful added info.
