Former MLB pitcher Dave Sisler, who threw for 7 seasons in The Show, died Sunday at age 79.
Sisler pitched for Boston, Detroit, Washington (expansion) and Cincinnati over those 7 seasons.
His brother (Dick) was better known, being a member of the 1950 Whiz Kids Phillies. Their father was 1920s Browns HoFer George Sisler, the holder of the single season hits record until Ichiro broke it a few years ago.
