Hello everyone

I just wanted to post something to thank everyone for what you all provide for this site.

The forum has brought together thousands of collectors and dealers who exchange information and your experiences in the hobby on a daily basis. It has become a terrific teaching tool and a place to have collectors' voices heard.

It has empowered buyers to make more informed decisions, help shape auction house policies based on discussion of what's important and taken a stand on things like conflict of interest within the hobby.

I read some criticism from a prominent hobby member saying the Game Used Forum is "more of a personal vendeta (sic) forum than information based."

I could not disagree more. Sure, there are some very intense debates around here, but as long as the intention is to educate each other then it is justified.

We have many varied personality types on this forum, and we don't always get along, but I have to say at the end of the day I am proud of what everyone here has accomplished. You have provided an incredible amount of information and as a person who loves the hobby, I thank you for it.

Eric and Chris,

Without you guys, perhaps none of this discussion or information sharing would even be happening. Thank you.

It's a rough and tumble hobby still. That means to survive we also have to be. You can't go to an auction house or seller and believe whole cloth what's being offered most of the times or you're in trouble. Most of us are specialists in a field or two but overall we need to be together, side by side, for a total picture. I see big time sellers asking opinions on this Forum which is great. I wish we could afford to be more genteel but we still have to shed light on many topics that ultimately require robust conversation. It's a continuous "24 hr town hall meeting" we have here and it's great.
