I know it's over a month away, but still, I am excited. Who's going to Seattle Mariners' FanFest on January 29-30, 2011? I have my tickets for the first day, and I'm hoping there will be game-used there. I didn't go last year, but I was there in 2009 and picked up a Yuniesky Betancourt batting helmet.

Also, I do remember meeting a GUU forum member there. Anybody want to meet up?

Is there anyone whose stuff you are looking for? Let me know.

Do you know if they sell items with MLB Auth or Team LOA's?

I would love to get a couple hats if they are a good price!

They definitely sell stuff with MLB authentication, however, it sometimes can be pricey. That being said, when I went to Fan Fest in 2009, there was a sale.

Since I've never been too high on the Mariners (with the exception of Felix Hernandez and Justin Smoak), I only buy stuff there if it's at a discount.

Anyone go in 2010? Was there a sale on game-used items, similar to 2009?

Sweet! How much are you willing to play, and for what players? Feel free to email me about it if you like. Would be happy to pick up something for you.

I will be there, most likely both days as well.

Everything is now MLB authenticated, so the usual rules apply. The home and alt. jerseys I believe can show up as either game used or team issued. Per the team they will NOT authenticate the roads as anything other than Team Issued since the [Mariners] in house authenticator was not there to see it used. That is what I was told, so is it true.. well, only one way to know is to look up the numbers.

As in previous years, there really are no bargains, I'm guessing they'll have the racks of 2010 jerseys but they will probably start at $250 for scrubs and commons and only go up from there. Big names will most likely not be found, no Ichiro, Felix or Griffey.

I think the hats start at $50 each. Locker tags are usually $75 and up. Most bats of any current player start at $175  Though they might have a few cheaper ones or ones not authenticated so the price is lower.

However, if you wait out the whole season, just wait for the bulk deal of jerseys and locker tags to Kruk cards next Oct. and you'll get it much cheaper

The Mariners Care garage sale is your only chance at something half decent and most of the time it's former players or coaches and lots of simply team issued, never worns for $40 each. They have around a dozen of them each day, a dozen or so bats that are $40 and up I think.

If you list some players and price limits I can bring a list or email it to me; jeremy_421@yahoo.com

I think I saw you there in 2009 Les, but didn't realize it was you at the time. Good deal on that helmet, I seem to always miss them when they put them out cheap.

Think there would be any game used Oswaldo Navarro items?

It's doubtful they have anything left but you never know. Sometimes they find old stuff hidden away and it makes it's way to the Mariners Care auction/sale table. I can keep an eye out for ya.

Too bad I already gave away the Navarro bat I had this past summer, it no longer had a place in my M's collection.

Send me an email when you get a chance, I still have one Navarro item left.

If you hadn't noticed Kruk also posted up 3 of his jerseys.

Hello All,

I am going to Mariners FanFest later this morning. If you are going to be anywhere specific, my friend and I could drop by and say "hi." Look forward to hearing from you, fellow Seattle baseball fans.

My friend and I just got back from FanFest. Got four game worn hats - two were stars and stripes, one gamer, and one BP hat. I will definitely post pics later; they look really neat displayed together!

No really big names for game used. Both Felix and Ackley were signing autos. They ran out of Felix tickets before we could get any, but they still had Ackley left. Thus, I got a game used baseball signed by Dustin.

Ackley was very nice. He signed with a ballpoint pen, was agreeable about autographing on the sweet spot, and was generally nice and friendly. It was definitely a breath of fresh air, considering some of my past experiences.

Anyone else pick anything up from Ryan Rowland Smith or Chris Snelling?
Thanks,

Who went to M's FanFest? Did anybody get King Felix's autograph; if so, how did it go? I've never met him in person, but it sounds like it would be a fun experience.

I would be interested in seeing what other people got, as there were many nice items available. A lot were too spendy though, as they wanted $175 at the lowest for several bats.

I went with my brother in law on Sunday. We were able to both get King Felix's auto. He didn't say much but he did sign "2010 Cy Young" for a lucky few.

My brother in law had a GU ball from his first game. MLB auth and all. He was stoked to finally have an auto on it.

Silent auction and GU clearance booth were both weak.
