Just returned from the clubhouse sale sneak peek.
I must say, there was a pretty good selection of game used material.

It opens tomorrow (Fri. Dec. 3rd) at 9am for those that are interested.

The last Japanese player to play for the Brewers was Mac Suzuki back in 2001. These clubhouse sales generally include game used items only from the previous 2-3 seasons.

I do not currently have (in my collection) any items used by Japanese ballplayers.

They had some Ryan Braun stuff but prices were a little high for him.
Jerseys for $2300/Bat for $600/Helmet for $700.
I did NOT look through the boxes of nameplates.

They had his 2010 helmet. No fielding gloves.

They had his 2009 helmet with tons of use. They had several of his bats, also.

It was there when I left. I think the price was $300 bucks.
There were no fielding gloves at the sale.

Be aware that a number of the jerseys that the Brewers are selling as "Game Used" may literally just be team issued. I was also at the sale and picked up two 2009 Tony Gwynn shirts, which were prepared for him coming out of ST, but seeing as how he was traded before he was ever brought up to the Major League Club could not have been worn by him in 2009.

If anybody picks up any Chris Smith game used items and wants to sell them, I am interested. Chris is one of the few alumni from my college that have made the big leagues.

They had a few McGehee jerseys for $400/a ton of his bats for $250.
The only thing they had of Lucroy was a GU helmet which I bought.
They had a GU Hardy pink bat for $300.
Not much Weeks stuff for whatever reason.

I think they may have had a Zaun jersey, as well.

Just got back from the sale. All game used jerseys, bats, helmets and lockername plates were marked down 25 percent. They had three McGehee cracked bats at $250 each, Cameron at $75, Counsell at $200, Jim Edmonds BP at $250, Hart bats @ $400. There is an auction going on for the big boys: Fielder and Braun and Weeks and Hart. Jerseys have a staring bid of at least $1,300.
