Is this a gamer or an authentic retail?

Early to mid 80's Glenn Cameron Bengals jersey, not sure if it's the real deal or not. The thing that makes me question it is the wear on the numbers. They are screened, not sewn, and the wear looks like it went through the dryer at high heat too many times. Maybe a gamer that somebody wore and laundered on their own?

Any help to determine if this is a gamer or not would be appreciated. I'm open to offers, by the way. bcouture@cfl.rr.com

I believe your Cameron jersey is legit. The Russell tag dates it to pre-1984 (although there were instances of older jerseys used in slightly later years).

When I worked for MEARS, I examined a dozen or so Bengals gamers from this era, mostly of linemen, and nearly all of them had this number peeling to at least some degree.

The condition obviously isn't the greatest, but I have no qualms concerning authenticity.
