What is the big white sticker on the barrell? Since is MLB certified I was wondering if anybody knows what this would be for. Also what is going on with the blue tape? Thanks

The big white sticker identifies it as a bat that was used in MLB's 2008 broken bat study. The blue tape was also part of that study, but I am not sure to what extent. After studying the bats they sent them back to the teams to be sold
