I noticed the other day that a number of the late Vada Pinson's personal items were being auctioned in the current Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory Auction. One of Pinson's daughters lives in my hometown so I e-mailed her and wished the family good luck with everything.
She e-mailed me back and said thank you for letting her know which auction house her father's items were in. Apparently another family member put all of this stuff up for auction without the rest of the family's consent. Not sure how things work legally with matters like this so it'll be interesting to see if Hunt ends up pulling everything. There are some nice items like 1959 All-Star & 1961 World Series bats among others.
If you are (or planned on) bidding on anything stay tuned...
