Does anyone know why Jayson Werth bats command such a premium? An eBay listing looks like it's going to exceed $400, and J.T. Sports has one listed for $469. It seems high to me, but I was wondering if there's something I'm missing.

He is a Phillie it is October. The Phillies stuff always goes for big money the Yankees are the only team that goes for more and being that they are the odds on favorite to go to the Series yet again prices will be high. You see the same thing with guys like Ibanez and Victorino. Werth is obviously not going to be a HOFer and if he switches teams this winter as a free agent as he is projected to his values will drop signifcantly.

playoff time as stated, fan favorite. Costs $350 at the ballpark last I checked. His game used items do not turn up that often for whatever reason. first quality phillies bat to hit ebay in awhile. great potential now that he is healthy.
