I have what I believe is a rookie and possibly 1991 World Series bat used by Chuck Knoblauch. Any help verifying this would be very helpful.
Here's the description:

Louisville Slugger "T141"
Chuck Knoblauch is printed on in all caps on barrel (not cursive)
Minnesota Twins is printed in all caps below that.
The bat is 2-tone. The barrel is brown. The top of the bat barrel is scooped like the top of an ice cream cone.
Once again, any help dating this would be very helpful and much appreciated.

Thanks,
Adam

Hi Adam---

The earliest order of bats in Knobby's records that matches the bat you describe is an order of 12 model T141 bats w/ Walker finish in March, 1991. There are no other orders matching that bat until May, 1992. There are, however, later orders after May, 1992 during the 1991-97 label period.

Note that sometime prior to the 1991 World Sereies, Knoblauch signed an endorsement contract with H & B and, from that point forward, his name would be seen in script on the barrel, as can be found on the Twins 1991 World Championship commemorative "Black Bat." Thus, the liklihood that this bat, received during spring training 1991 was subsequently used during the World Series seven months later is unlikely, but a review of Knoblauch's at-bats in the 1991 World Series videos would easily tell you, as none of his subsequent 1991 orders of any model had that type of distinguishable finish.

This is an early Chuck Knoblauch professional model bat that is eligible for certification as outlined in this link:

Mike,

Thanks for your help. If I need a LOA on a bat, I know who to contact.

Thanks again,
