So I bought this practice jersey on eBay of John Carlson. The title said 06, description said 04, John was a rookie in 08. Figuring the seller just made a listing error since he lists so much and the fact that he said it came with a Seahawks LOA (it didn't), and the tage looked like an 08, I went with it for $90. Well, got it today and it does say 06. I highly doubt someone would fake a practice jersey of Carlson, but is using an 06 jersey a common practice? This is only the second jersey I bought and I am quite flummoxed.

It is probably just a jersey that has been recycled. I collect Rams jerseys and they do it all the time. I have quite a few jerseys that are year-tagged a different year they were used. I even have a rookie Steven Jackson jersey from 04 when they wore the 10th Anniversary patch that is tagged 02.

First off it states nowhere in the description that a Seahawks LOA comes with the jersey. I have purchased several jersey's from Qwest Field where the game used shop is and never once has a LOA been given or mentioned.

Alot of the practice jersey's I have seen from the Seahawks are recycled like Neely8 mentioned.

Kruk Cards obviously made a bulk purchase from the Seahawks as they have many practice jersey's for sale.

Your jersey also comes with the Seahawks inventory tag in the neck.

No doubt in my mind you have a John Carlson used worn practice jersey.

Thanks for the info guys, happy to hear. I mentioned the LOA as I emailed him before the auction ended and he had told me that one would be included.

Lokee,

When we got these jeresys from the Seahawks, they did not have COA's, and I listed them without the COAs. A few weeks after we got the jerseys and a rather Generic COA showed up. I'm going to send you one of the COA's today. Like I said, it is generic.

As for the years, I listed the jerseys with the year on the tagging. According to the Seahawks, the year on the tagging is the year of manufacture, and the jerseys were either reused or simply sat around until actual use and eventually our purchase.

Hope that helps clear things up a bit.

If you get a COA from us, please feel free to buy something to go with it. :)

Was of course meant for thepatchguy, I shipped the COA to the address he'd provided us in our checkout.

I'll work on getting message board etiquette down further, I've read a lot of message boards, but never really posted much, I'm still learning.
