I am sure you Reds bat collectors saw this on ebay, a collection of Reds gamers.

I saw it too late to post, but the bids did not hit the reserve. This is a continuation of the prior thead on the alleged (but here-to-for undocumentd by any photographic or documentary evidence) powerized variation of the the 1976 liberty bell H&B label. You will see that the Morgan bat in this auction bears the powerized variation and is described as "Joe Morgan (2B) ~ Uncracked, natural, 34 1/2" long, Louisville Slugger S44 game used bat"

This bat had a prior beginning in the Lelands May 2002 auction as lot 1874 with the following description:

"A Championship season bat from this member of the Big Red Machine. Hillerich & Bradsby signature model S44 shows no use, but tons of character due in no small part to the beloved Liberty Bell logo stamped on the barrel."

http://www.lelands.com/Auction/AuctionDetailed/9293/May-2002/Sports/Bats/Lot1874~1976-Joe-Morgan-Game-Bat-(34_5-)_

Exact same grain in both bats. Much like the Bench bat that was the subject of the earleir thread, this bat apparently has had use added to it although, thankfully, no new uniform number on the knob.

To be clear, I am not making any accusation against the ebay seller or anyone else, these bats have clearly moved through multiple hands and it would probably be impossible to track them. I would just be very wary of any bat that has this variation and do your homework.

Months later Blue Chip Sports still owes me $500 toward a $800 purchase I made. Could only refund $300... Credit card company has handled the issue but I would advise staying away from them on any of their higher price items.
