Can any Cardinals experts help me out with this one? As far as I can tell, Drew only wore number 8 during the 1998 season, but maybe not? Or could this be improperly tagged as 98?

Any help is appreciated.

Drew did wear #8 in 1998. This could be a 1999 jersey that was made from a 1998 shell. Not unusual for a team to use old stock for jerseys, especially for younger players.

Very feasible, as the Cardinals could not place a Rawlings logo on the sleeve from 1992-99 due to their not being MLB's contracted supplier.
