Perhaps I missed your point but I don't think the seller was intentionally trying to mis-lead anyone into thinking that it was ever used by Brett. I think they used the term 'game used' to simply denote it was not a new glove (not to even mention the starting bid of $9.99)

Two things.

1. The seller may not be a "Game Used" seller like you use the word. They are stating that the glove was used in a game by someone, never do they say it was used by George Brett. They are selling the item in the vintage gloves section, not game used section.

2. The glove's opening bid is not relevant to determine if they think George Brett used it or not. I open many auctions and under a dollar and some have sold in excess of $5,000.00. In other words, opening bid amount is not a fair way to determine if an item is genuine or not.
