Thought this one deserved its own thread...Just got this one a few weeks ago and thanks to mlb.tv, was able to video match it. I wish mlb.tv was still in HD last year as it was tough to get clear screen shots saved, but without a doubt, it is the bat in both games that appear below. I know some members might have a tough time seeing the matches as they are not as clear as I was hoping for, but they are without a doubt perfect matches with the bat in hand and watching the video.

Here are photos of the bat

Game 6, ALCS

Game 1 of the World Series--the huge ball mark above Genuine happens on a foul ball during the 9th inning. Pitch 1 was not there and then he fouled one off and the ball mark was there!

looks like a match to me as well! I wish that HD would work all the time though, it made matching much more convincing. I bet in person it looks even better, I know how it goes! Congrats, not too many current bats out there better than a photomatched jeter!

Tried to get a better shot of the bat showing the same marks as the first pic was a bit light..

When you bought it did you know it was used in the world series.

No, I had a feeling when I got it that it was a playoff bat because it had 9-19 etched in the knob and with the amount of use there was no way it was just from the regular season as the date was so late in the season. Needless to say I'm very happy with the bat!!

I actually overlooked the bat being used in Game 1 when I looked at the photos the first time....wow. Congrats, thats pretty incredible.....shocked it was not kept track of especially being so recent....if it had been Arod's you can bet it would have been set aside and documented as a ws bat ....

Just got a few more great photo matches to game 6 of the ALCS and Game 1 of the World Series.

Here is game 6 of the ALCS:

Here is game 1 of the WS. It is tough to see in this copy of the picture, but even the small chips on the knob match up perfectly.

I am by no means trying to rain on anyones parade or maybe I am missing something. And it could very well be the same exact bat and maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me.

But after looking at every pic and lining up every exact mark I do not see a perfect match.

I will say it is amazingly close but there are a few marks slightly different

I think its a clear match, definitely the marks aren't exactly looking like they are in the same condition which is understandable. The dead giveaway for me is the mark under the louisville logo, it would be way to coincidental for that to be there with very very similar marks in all the other locations.

I think its a definite match. Agree to disagree.

Well in a photomatch you cant agree to disagree becuz that defeats the purpose of calling it a photomatch.

The biggest one that sticks out to me is in both photos showing Jeter with the "TPX" logo you can see it is completely worn off you cannot make out the letter on either photo.

On the members actual bat the "TPX" logo you can sill make out.

There were a few other marks a bit different but I will say it is pretty damn close.

Suave--I understand what you're saying but ball marks do fade and you'd be amazed how the flash can change the appearance...I shot different pix and depending how the flash went off the marks were darker or lighter. The full high res pix you can see the matches much better.

Look at the LS logo you can see what looks like a cleat mark on both bats.

Looks like the same bat, no question at all in my mind.

What about the cleat mark below the LS logo.

That's the mark I was talking about it.

All I was trying to say is I think it is match. I'm also not sure if the TPX logo is destroyed in the picture.

suave, I can agree to disagree on your conclusion that it is not, that was all I was saying. You make some valid points, I just was really sold on the cleat mark below the louisville logo as well as the other marks in totality.

I'm usually pretty skeptical about photomatches. This is a no-doubter in my opinion. Nice bat and match!
