Being a huge Orioles fan, one of my fondest memories of their old Memorial Stadium was a game I attended back on 09/19/82 while I was a Senior in college (life was a lot simpler then). I had purchased tickets to this game because it was "Thanks Earl" Day...to commemorate Weaver's managerial career (first time) and additionally, the Orioles were chasing the Milwaukee Brewers for the AL East title.....
To make a long story short, the Orioles fell behind early, came back to tie the game to put it in extra innings....In the bottom of the 10th, Rich Dauer hit a 'walk off' 2 Run Homer to cap a perfect day...
On eBay last week I was able to purchase the actual HR Ball that Dauer hit that Sunday afternoon (which was also Mike Flanagan's 100th career victory)....Who would have thought that nearly 28 years later that I would actually own this ball?.......
