To me the fielding glove is one of the coolest items a collector can add to a collection due to the uniqueness. Was watching the College World Series today and Nomar, Orel Hershiser, and the announcer started talking about fielding gloves.
Few interesting quotes.... Nomar said he used two gloves in his 10 plus years he played shortstop. Must have had a few more when he changed positions. He even mentioned his first glove made it from college, to the minors, then to pro ball.
Orel made some kind of quote saying he has so many gloves he could give them out at Halloween as trick treat items.
