M9 Maple vs Hard Maple??

Guys-
Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the Louisville Retail M9 Maple bats and the lesser priced Louisville Hard Maple bats?

I don't know but I was at a Dick's Sporting goods store with the family and the boys and I were browsing some bats and an M9 Maple LS bat was listed at $70. Wow, didn't know they were that expensive!!!

Yeah, the M9s get expensive. They can get up to $80. The Maruccis are expensive too ($100-120).
