Not really a sports figure collector, but I'm thinking of having one made.

Anyone had a custom made? Any recommendations?

I just had a guy who does customed mcfarlane's do some stickers for me.The stickers for the numbers and the name fell off the mcfarlane i had done by someone else.He is very friendly and even though i have not recieved the stickers yet.He seems to be very good. His buisness name is-"all star customs" and has a web site i believe.Send me a "pm" and i will give you his email.

There is no one better at custom figures than Joe (Jomo). I work with Joe, and have seen 100s of his custom figures... amazing work.

Any idea what it costs for Joe to do custom figures? I sent an email through his site, but was just curious if you could give me a ballpark.

I normally don't collect any figures or anything like that, but if he could do a custom Snee for a reasonable price, it would be cool to have one.

I forgot to name the company in my other post."ALL STAR CUSTOMS ONLINE" would be my advice.I just had them do stickers that fell off a customed that i had done by someone else. The guy who runs it is named brian and is very nice and easy to deal with. His web site is also very nice and he also does beautiful customed bobbleheads.

Jomo does great re-paints BUT Matt from www.Bluechipcustoms.com (http://www.Bluechipcustoms.com) is the best. His custom fabrication is unreal. I had him make me a few about 6 years ago and they have only gotten better.......

Unfortunately guys I do not remember who did it for me or if there is a way through ebay I can track down who I bought it from.

But 2 years ago I bought off a guy on ebay who made custom McFarlanes. He did a Scott Spiezio from the Cardinals during the World Series.

I was beyond impressed it nailed down every detail from the World Series patch on the Jersey (identical to the one that was on the real Jersey) to the little red beard on the lip.
The packaging it came in was customized also and came with a Mathingbaseball card to the packagng.

a 100 thumbs up to that guy - now if I can only remember who he was.

If you paid by Paypal, just go to your account and search the funds sent...and go back a couple of years.

I decided to try this guy.

It's just a straight re-paint and I supplied the scans for the decals.

The guy I used did a good job and kept me up to speed during the process. Had to tweak a few things so we were on the same page.

There's a reason they sell for $5 on eBay. I was thinking Billy Ocean. :)

Wanted to bring this back to the top. I want to have my two favorite gamers replicated on a custom McFarlane? I am negotiating with someone to have my favorites made up, wanted to know if any of you guys have done it too?

It's pretty straight forward assuming you have a McF that you can use. I know some guys will actually modify the figure itself, and that can get a little spendy.

If you just need a re-paint, they can do anything. Pros, college, your high school team, beer league, etc. You may need to provide photos of specific details.

I'm not sure what people charge, but I do a few customs, here's one I'm working on, its a custom pose. Trying to get it as close as possible, I had to to quite a bit of custom sculpting and combine several figures.
