I recieved an auction catalog yesterday for Historic Auctions which was really weird to me because I didn't order an auction catalog plus it came a few days after the auction ended. I never looked at items from auction houses like these because I thought that only rich people bid on them but I decided to check it out then look to see what they ended at on their website. I was thinking everything went high but after I checked out what everything ended at,I started freaking out. The prices were unbelieveable!! I was just wondering why everything sold for so cheap. Here's just some of the items that I simply thought were sold at very cheap prices:

Mark McGwire game worn Cardinals hat -- $200
Manny Ramirez signed game worn 2005 hat -- $137.50
Rafael Furcal signed game worn 2003 NLDS hat -- $80
Rafael Furcal signed game worn wristbands -- $25
Austin Kearns signed game worn HR 6 cleats -- $67
Alex Rodriguez game worn Mariners cleats -- $148.50
Torii Hunter signed game worn hat -- $60
Andruw Jones signed game worn 2005 hat -- $110
Jack McKeon signed game used 2003 NLCS base -- $121
Luis Castillo signed game worn jersey $105.60
Cristian Guzman signed game used 2001 HR 5 bat $60.50
Ivan Rodriguez signed game worn socks -- $27.50
Dwight Gooden signed game used helmet -- $100
Juan Gonzalez game used helmet -- $60.50

There's tons more that ended at unbelieveable prices like these, this is just a small list.

The authenticity of several of the items in the auction was called into serious question on these boards and I'm sure others as well. Some items were even pulled from the auction completely. I'm sure this kept many bidders away, which in turn resulted in lower sale prices. I personally had bid on 2 items early in the auction, but after reading all the accusations, I was greatly relieved when I was outbid on both of them.
