1970's Brewers Jerseys....

Can someone shed some light on who manufactured Brewers jerseys in the 1970's?

It's my assumption that Wilson manufactured them in the early 1970's and than Sand Knit in the middle to the end of the 1970's....

Where there years when both manufactured jerseys?

Any insight would be appreciated....thanks.....

Generally speaking, look for Spalding road jerseys until 1973 (then Sand Knit). For home jerseys, you'll find Wilson up through 1975 (then Sand Knit). And in 75 and 76 there seem to be any number of companies that made Hank Aaron jerseys.

I say this tongue in cheek because these are out there, but seriously some folks think it's possible that he may have worn some of the "other" shirts. Me, I'm not so sure.

Guy's got it OK. Spalding roads were 1970-72 (Sand-Knit took over those in '73). I have seen both Sand-Knits and Wilsons for 1976, and not just Aarons...common players, too. Any McAuliffe Aarons are junk ...the fonts on the letters ane numbers are not right, although I visited a museum in the 1980s that put out a McAuliffe Aaron as "game used" in a display. The museum goofed.

I've never seen a Brewers jersey with that number style before. I'd be very dubious, except that the provenance is pretty solid - it came from Hank Aaron himself.
