Red Sox GU Jersey from 1999

Hi
I got the below jersey 7 years ago and the jersey was made for Sun Woo Kim but the year tage says "1999' at that time he was in a Minor league team...
How do you think?? Not game worn?? or it was a jersey for his first major league appearance but didn't happen??

no all star game patch on the arm? any marks indicating one was removed ?

Most likely team issued. Kim never played in the ML's until 2001.

Often teams will make up jerseys for players in the minors to have on the ready if the players get "the call". Therefore there could be a team issued jersey for Kim from 1999 (one of the true definitions of team issued...).

On the down side, Lokee mentions the patch..but I would look into why the jersey has "S KIM" on the back rather than just KIM. Were there two different players with the last name Kim? That would be the only reason I could see to have the differentiation. I looked in 1999, 2000, and 2001 and did not see any other players in the Red Sox organization.

Wendell Kim was the 3rd base coach from 1997 to 2000 so that explains the S.Kim.
