I was hoping the Yankee collectors could post correct tagging example(s) for game used 1994 road jerseys. I've got my eye on one but I'm not a New York collector and am not knowledgeable in this area. I thought there was a previous thread that may have helped but I can't seem to find it. Thanks in advance for the help.

Yes, it is a 1994 Abbott. Just got the tag photos and the Russell tag matches the 1992 example in the Russell Primer. I know it's not uncommon for jerseys to hang around a few years before use but would a 1992 jersey have a 1994 player tag?

The image above is quite different from the Boggs home tag that I was able to locate. I really would love to pick up my first Abbott gamer but want to do my homework.

That Boggs tag looks bad. The font of the tag printing is too dark, too blotchy in a few areas, and looks to not be an actual Russell strip tag. The Abbott tagging looks OK.

Thanks Dave! The Boggs photo was pulled from the completed auctions section of a "major" aution house.

here is the tagging from my 1994 road Jim Leyritz jersey, hope it offers assistance. (I hope you can see the attachment, if not email me at jspayd@hotmail.com and I will email the tagging picture to you that way) I am not too sure if I figured out the correct way to attach an image to a post on the forum, have never done it before

Pags13's Leyritz tag looks good, as well.
