Hey all,

I saw this framed Magic Johnson jersey at an antique shop today and wanted to get some feedback if it looks legit or not.

I'm more into baseball, but wanted to know if any Lakers fans out there can tell if this looks real. It's signed under the "3" of #32 and framed so I can't see the back.

I took some pictures of it, sorry for the low quality iPhone pics but it's the best I could do:

Legit? Fake?
Any info is appreciated, thanks.

I don't know about the autograph, but the jersey is from the 1992-93 edition of NBA Commemorative Collection jerseys...the NBA equivalent of the much-discussed Score Board MLB jerseys often appearing on the Forum.

Magic didn't play in 1992-93, and the jersey is a home version...the style nearly all the NBACC jerseys from that year were.

I've written about these a couple of times on the MEARS site...you can check there for articles in the archives section.

Awesome, thanks for the info.
Since Magic seems to always be tied to the Lakers in some capacity, I didn't know if it was a special team-issued jersey for his retirement, etc. That makes total sense that it's a Scoreboard-esque jersey.

Thanks again.

Nice looking jersey. I'd like to get one someday because I'm a huge Magic fan. The problem is some people price them like they were game worn.
