Any Minnesota Twins experts?

I came across this card from Topps (yes, I know, a card)

My question is, isn't the Majestic logo always under the Twins logo? What would cause those two patch pieces in the top corners?

That's not from any Twins jersey and I can't think of any reason it would be from a pair of pants either. Here's pics from a home, throwback and vest jersey showing no reason for the patch pieces.
