BMH--Jeter 1996 Order Question

Hi Brian,

Hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving!

I have a question for you regarding a bat I recently picked up...it is a 33.5" block letter bat.

How many 33.5" bats did Jeter order in his rookie year of 1996? Is there any difference between bats he ordered in 1995 vs 1996? When was his last order for 33.5 bats?

He ordered 30 33.5in black in 1995.
He ordered 12 34in no finish in 1995.
He ordered 12 34.5in black in 1995.

For 1996 he ordered 144 33.5in black

His last order for 33.5in bats was Sept of 1997.

All of these were P72's

His rarest bat, it looks like is an order for one bat in 2003. A black P72, 34/31, Smith Finish, cupped.

As someone with not a lot of experience with game used bats, I am curious if there is anyway to tell a 96 apart from a 97?

I have a 99 that is 34" and I know its a 99 based on the MLB logo on the front of the bat, and the i in the centerbrand is below the 1 in 125.

The 33.5" block letter I have has the i between the 2 and the 5.

Did Jeter order 33.5" for most of the 97 season or did he also mix in 34" bats?

They were all 33.5in until September of 1997, he then switched to 34in.
