Dustin Pedroia bat on ebay

I was wondering if you guys think the bat is game used or game issued. I know it has the pine tar and marks on it, but don't see any ball marks. Your comments would be appreciated.

its tough to see seam impressions on bats. There is no boue ink which is the first and easiest thing to look for but i have owned many non finished blonde bats with no blue ink and tons of seam impressions. Some players just make alot of contact with the seams (by accident of course) and some players hit it square on the ink part. We all know baseball is a strange game and its bats are no different.

I would ask the seller directly how many seam impressions and ball marks are on the bat and how visible they really are. Maybe even ask for more pictures.

Also the pine tar looks wrongs. Thought on that as well

I had a bit of an issue with the pine tar as well. I guess it's possible he could have only prepped this bat but the application doesn't seem to follow his usual trademark pine tar mess extending over the center brand and equally down the handle.
