Pablo Sandoval - What's on his jersey?

I found this picture in a SI and noticed that Sandoval has something stiched on his jersey in a square pattern....look at the "N & C" in San Francisco....anyone have any idea what this might be?

That looks like Bengie Molina.

Reminds me of the old cigarette pack pocket that Cal Ripken Sr. had stitched into his jersey.

Some jerseys (typically managers jerseys) have customized jersey's with pockets sewn on the inside of their jerseys. Bobby Cox, Casey Stengal, and Lee Mazzilli are examples of managers who had this type of customization. The inside pockets were used to hold items like a pack of cigarettes , a pack of chewing tobacco,etc.

The stitching on this Giants jersey looks alot like a pocket was added to the inside of the jersey.
