I really would like a true Helton gamer. After scanning Getty Images I have concluded this jersey just isn't the real deal. Opinions????

Here are two getty photos....dated and showing the inconsistencies with the AMI shirt. As you can plainly see the numbers and patch placements are absolutely wrong.

Photo on left is May 24th, 2003. The right is Sept. 16th, 2003. Four months apart and neither jersey is close to AMI's offering. Hmmmm

DL -

The numbers look fine to me and the patch - well the Rockies have never been models of consistency with their jerseys during the Russell years... even the tail tagging can vary for the same player throughout the year.

The one thing AMI is absolutelywrong on is the year. IF it is real and it has the 10th Year Patch as it shows, it is a 2002 jersey, NOT 2003. The Rockies Celebrated their 10th YEAR, NOT their 10th Anniversary like the Marlins in 2003.

The one thing the jersey absolutely has going for it (zoom in and you'll see) are the CREAM colored buttons - NOT Pearlized White.

The cream buttons were made EXCLUSIVELY for the Rockies and have Colorado Rockies embossed on each one. The only way for a jersey to have those buttons was for it to have come through the Rockies clubhouse at some point and time or another.

I cannot address it being Game Used or not, just the things I know.

I own a Helton Gamer that I am considering selling - it is Autographed (and inscribed to me), but I am looking to raise funds for some other projects...

The numbers aren't even close...........not trying to argue. Please look again....

I did look. Don't know what you're seeing, The numbers are about 1.5 x the height of the letters - looks normal - the 7 isn't a 'v' corned 7, it has a down bar from the top line and the leg - the 1 sits about centered between the I and the E in Rockies and the edge of the 7's down bar sits inline with the top 'upstroke' of the S.

Not defending AMI - just don't know what you're seeing.

Look at the placement of the numbers in relation to the pin stripes.....waaaaaaay off. One pic shows the patch in a totally different spot....the other photo shows the numbers in a totally different spot. This is why pinstriped jerseys are so easy to impeach...usually.

??? The 7 is approximately 4 pinstripes wide - just like in the lower Getty pic - the patch is 4 pinstripes wide - just like in the Getty Pic.

Although my Gamer is an ALT (CR crest) - the numbers on Front are the same size - the 7 is roughly 4 pinstripes wide...

I still don't understand what it is you are seeing.

No two pinstripe jerseys are identical - the odds are pretty astronomical - unless you're saying that AMI is claiming that THIS jersey is THE jersey in the Getty Pics?

Also (again) this is a 2002 Jersey - NOT a 2003, so you need some Getty pics from 2002 season - not 2003.

May i ask why the 17 is on the left side instead of the right like it is most of the time. There are acouple photos from 2002 with 17 on the left but it's to low compared to the AMI jersey.

Yanks -

On Rockies Home Whites (with ROCKIES on front) the numbers are on the Left breast - my Walker Gamer from '97 is the same way.

On the Home White ALT (w/ CR Crest) the numbers are on the right as the crest covers most of the left breast side.

I can't say I've seen a regular Rockies Home White with #'s on the right.
