Here's a press release I came across on the news wire...

Signed Hank Aaron Jersey to Be Auctioned by Sotheby's June 24th; Big Brothers Big Sisters to Receive 5% of Proceeds

PHILADELPHIA, May 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Steve Myland, CEO, Steve Myland Enterprise, a wholesaler of trading cards, and a former "Big Brother," has announced that he is donating 5% of the proceeds from the sale of an autographed jersey of baseball great Henry "Hank" Aaron. The jersey, worn by Aaron in his rookie year, is being offered on June 24, 2006, by Sotheby's and SCP Auctions. Sotheby's believes that the jersey will go for $200,000- $300,000. The jersey is a cornerstone of Sotheby's live auction in New York of Important Sports Memorabilia and Cards. Aaron, a baseball legend, also served on the National Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA) from 1997-2000.

Myland, a "Big Brother" to "Little Brother" Jon Sklar from 1977 to 1981, is a huge advocate of Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS). He said, "My affiliation with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles (where the two were matched, now BBBS of Greater Los Angeles and the Inland Empire) was a most rewarding experience for both me and my 'Little Brother,' Jon." Jon, like Steve, is an avid baseball enthusiast. The two have traveled around the country promoting the organization while educating and recruiting potential new Big Brothers.

Judy Vredenburgh, President and CEO, BBBSA said, "Steve Myland's generosity in offering Hank Aaron's jersey to Sotheby's, naming us as a beneficiary, mirrors his commitment to BBBS as a 'Big Brother.' In addition, Mr. Aaron showed in his years of service to us that he is a hero not only to the baseball world, but to BBBS as well."
