Pretty sure if you search this forum you'll see this is the same helmet Butkus himself questioned.

Why the the Hologram removed from the back of the helmet? Is someone ashamed of Lou's expert analysis of this lid.

This is the reply I got when asking about it.

a friend of mine originally purchased it at a live mastro auction at the national in cleveland in july 2007 for $12,500. i have had in my possession since then. i cant trace it all the way back to butkus. the march 1971 time stamp on the helmet dates it to 71-72 era. much nicer than todays helmets

That's the helmet this thread was started about. There are a couple of issues with it that are listed in the post I provided above.
