Hi,
I just bought a nice game used bat and it has a decent amount of tar on the handle. I can see that there is a small barely noticeable crack in the handle. The tar is dry (the bat is about 15 years old) but it looks somewhat "fresh" as though it's possible that someone could have put the tar on to cover up the crack. Has anybody ever heard of this happening or am I overthinking this. Or could the player put tar on the handle, realize it was cracked then got rid of the bat?
