I read about this in ESPN the magazine. It's called The Athlete's Closet (http://theathletescloset.org/Home.html) . They sell donated items from professional athletes to raise money to feed and clothe the needy. It looks like they will be focusing mostly on high end clothing, but it does mention athletic gear and collectibles also. Their first auction should be starting soon. Should be worth a look!
