I was wondering what would be more valuable and better to collect for Stephen Strasburg items?

A game worn Team USA signed jersey or one of his rare signed baseball cards?

And if card is most sought after then which one would it be?

Thnaks.

I'm not telling which to buy, but rookie certified autograph cards of players can remain popular and in demand for years if the player becomes a star. Also, there is population control. Stephen can be signing USA jerseys until 2030, but once it turns 2005 they can no longer make any more 2004 cards. You don't know how many signed jerseys there will be out there 10 years from now, but you know how many signed rookie cards there will be.

As I touched on, all other qualities similar, the signed rookie card will usually retain the value better over later signed cards.

Also, I'm not putting down signed jerseys, as they are nice items to own.

So a MLB authenticated and signed game worn Team USA jersey that were auctioned off last month on MLB.COM would be in less demand then a signed Strasburg Rookie card?

I find that hard to believe as this in my opionin would be an even rarer item as it is authenticated, signed and also game worn.

I recently saw one sold for $3,645.00 USD and I have yet to see a Strasburg card sell for that much.

It doesn't really make sense, but jerseys are rarely worth as much as autographed rookie cards. While it's mostly the cards from only a few sets (Bowman Chrome, for instance, which I don't think Strasburg has any cards in yet) that sell for the truly enormous amounts, they do tend to eclipse jersey sales by a good amount.

Here's a signed Evan Longoria rookie card, for example: http://cgi.ebay.com/Evan-Longoria-06-Bowman-Chrome-Red-Ref-Auto-RC-BGS-3-5_W0QQitemZ150357141907QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_SM_Sp orts_Cards?hash=item2301fbe993&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A3|66%3A2|39%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50 (http://cgi.ebay.com/Evan-Longoria-06-Bowman-Chrome-Red-Ref-Auto-RC-BGS-3-5_W0QQitemZ150357141907QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_SM_Sp orts_Cards?hash=item2301fbe993&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A3%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294 %3A50)

vs. a gamer at half the price with no bids: http://cgi.ebay.com/EVAN-LONGORIA-SIGNED-GAME-USED-JERSEY-RAYS-MAY-2-2009_W0QQitemZ380136767518QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_De faultDomain_0?hash=item5881eac01e&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A3|66%3A2|39%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50 (http://cgi.ebay.com/EVAN-LONGORIA-SIGNED-GAME-USED-JERSEY-RAYS-MAY-2-2009_W0QQitemZ380136767518QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_De faultDomain_0?hash=item5881eac01e&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A3%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294 %3A50)
