My wonderful wife surprised me tonight with the news that I'll be throwing out the first pitch at tomorrows Reds game. What a gift! Let's hope I don't throw wild. Pics to follow. Just wanted to share my excitement

If you don't throw a strike.......don't expect us to talk to you anymore.;)

Have a blast.......what a thrill that will be.

P.S. If you see Bud Selig in the seats, I'll send you a check for $100.00 if you drill him with your pitch......

Make sure you have duplicates of the jersey you're wearing, so you can sell them later as...

Never mind ;)

Enjoy!

You need to do something to your jersey to make it unique, a mustard stain perhaps, and take a picture; Photomatch!!!:D

Good luck!

Congratulations. The key is to wear ten jerseys over each other-- thus 9 for eBay and one for the den.

I've seen some horrid first throws (double pounce, halfway between third and home), so you don't have to worry about embarassing yourself.

Run out to the mound and slide head first. Get some dirt stains on your jersey so you can photomatch it lol:D

Cogratulations and have fun!!!

Feel free to stay out there and pitch a few innings. My DBacks could use the batting practice.

What a thrill......and they let you throw out the first pitch from THE MOUND, too!!

Usually they ask you to stay in front or off to the side of the mound. That's priceless!!

Looks like that strike was in the "Ryan Howard" or "Adam Dunn" wheelhouse.....;)

Your wife is awesome.

Wow, awesome!! Too bad they couldn't get an actual player to catch for you!! Was that a grounds crew guy? Still exciting nonetheless. I'm jealous!! Looks like you threw a great pitch. I'm guess a cut fastball? It always cracks me up how I see time after time, people bouncing the ball to the plate. I'm like, come on, it ain't that hard to throw it in the air. People should take notice and copy the way you threw it. Good job!!

Great pics, and an even better experience. My brother-in-law did the flag ceremony for that game as well. He's USAF. Really neat!
