American Flag on helmets.

Looking at a batting helmet for sale that has the American Flag on it. I know the flag was put on there for 9/11, has there been any other events or times where an American Flag has been put on a helmet in the past few years?

My Larkin has sticker from 2001. What player/year is it?

The Larkin would be from the 2001, 9/11 time frame. The helmet I am looking at is on the Reds auction from Aaron Harang. Only thing is Harang was in the Oakland minor leagues during 2001, so I am trying to figure out when this helmet would have been used by him.

I have also seen flags on hats and helmets for Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Veterans' Day.
