John Buck wore #2 during the 2005 season. He did not wear #14 until this year.

Did you email Howard Wolf about the jersey before posting on here? I saw Howard online today so if you did I assume your email would have received a reply.

I am just curious to his response, as I can't imagine how a pre-game jersey of John Buck would be in question unless the wrong year was listed by him or maybe he switched numbers during the season?

I check 2005 images on Getty, and they show John up to August wearing #2, so unless he switched for the last few games, I would assume this jersey is of another Royal player or is a 2006 jersey.

Joel-
No message from MVP was sent to me, however, thanks to both of you for pointing this out.

My error in listing it incorrectly as a 2005. You are both correct, it is a 2006 and will be listed correctly.

I also have several other Royals pre-games and game jerseys available. Please email me for a complete listing.

Thanks.

There are some questions with this jersey. Buck wore #2 in 2005. He did not wear #14 until 2006. The jersey on ebay has the black shadowing on the jersey. The Royals stopped using the black shadowing around "royals" and the #s in 2005. How can this jersey be a good jersey?

Here is a 2006 photo of the BP's...No black shadowing

Unless I'm not seeing things, the ebay jersey looks like it does has white lettering.

...And why would anyone waste time faking a John Buck jersey?

MVP-
Look a little harder next time before making a post on here. How about these photos from Getty of Buck in spring training, 2006 wearing the shadow style and wearing 14? Although a bit blurry, you can see the shadowing under the tail of the S and also under the R and O. Better yet, there are several other examples of the Royals wearing the "shadow" style BP's in spring training, 2006. Looks like they switched at the start of the regular season to the current style.

Great research MVP-thanks for the keen insight.

Furthermore, per the rules of the Forum and my previous post, you are required to contact the seller BEFORE making a post here. As of this post, you have NEVER contacted me.

They stopped using the balck shadowing in 2005. The photos you have shown do not show the black tackle twill. It is not clear from the lighting in the photos. Here are clear photos:

The ebay seller is named Hblakewolf, which coincidentally is the user name of someone who posts here almost more than anyone else!!

Or you could have come on here and said "I have a question about an ebay item and don't have an ebay account. Can someone send my question in for me?"

It's the responsible approach to ask questions first and then report your findings.

The original post just stated facts about it being a 2005..That Buck did not wear #14 in 2005. it was listed as a 2005. I did not question the seller's integrity just the facts about the jersey. The seller then changed the description to a 2006 jersey. After that I stated that the Royals abandoned the black shadowing after the 2005 season. They wore the BP's in 2006 spring trainning without black tackle twill shadowing. What is wrong with pointiong out facts about a jerseys characteristics?
