Just checking on who made the transition to our new board. This appears to be a good thing. I like the posting features (spell check particularly). I'm attaching a pic. for test purposes.

This board is similiar to other ones I use - the features are great. makes it easier to attach pictures and files. i'll post a pic too - here is a box for a basketball from the 1930's. got this my last year of high school on a trip to brimfield with my dad - $25!

Back in the early to mid 1990's we had great luck there - bats and gloves galore. As time has gone on things have dried up. Since I've moved to IL I haven't been able to go back so I can't speak for the past 4 years. My dad finds a couple things there but not like the good old days. It's hard because you're competing against the guys from Hunt's auction, Bob McCann and other big dealers who have access to some of the fields way before the general public can get in there.

I HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS!!! It really turns it into a stressful situation when you have dealers holding things under the table for the big boys when collectors would probably pay as well.

I always wondered about that as well. Collectors would pay more for an item because they aren't going to try and and resell it right way. And if one of the big boys wants it, you know it's gotta be something so why not try and get more from a collector - I'm just an elementary school teacher but that seems like simple economics to me.

There a couple of ways to post a picture. If you click on the paper clip icon it will bring up a "manage attachments" box. Click on the "browse" button and find the picture on your computer. On you have selected it, click on the "upload" button to the right. You should then see the file attached where it says "current attachments." Scroll to the bottom, click close window and you'll be back to posting screen. Click submit reply and it will be posted. Hope that helps.

One good pennant deserves another, although this one's not nearly as nice and bright.

Hello everyone! Just want to let you know the information on how to post images is available in FAQ. Just click FAQ and then Reading and Posting Messages. You will find "How do I post images?" in that section. Hope this helps. Have fun!

Is that OJ's glove?--Only kidding. Nice glove by the way. I'm here. Like moving in to a new apartment/house it'll take time to get used to. Straighten me out, our we the forum for GameUsedUniverse or did we join their forum that was already here?

The forum is a merger of the two forums. I'm liking it so far, but I sure wish someone would tell me how to resize the photos so they aren't huge. And I'm not sure if it's just me or what, but sometimes you can't see the photos in the postings at all, but you can click on the link for them and other times you see the photos...

I'm not sure how to resize photos, and I couldn't seem to upload photos with "Manage Attahcments", but did manage with the Picture icon on the menu bar.

One other difference I noted is that, unless I missed it, we can no longer contact other members by email without a silver or gold membership. Am I correct?

Max, Click the members list at the top of the page, then search for members by their forum name (baseballart). When you find it, you can email them.

For some reason, we are all junior members?

Ting

Hi! I thought I would post an answer to the question on why we are all junior members. This new forum has a feature that assigns the junior member, member and senior member titles based on number of posts written. Junior members are people with 0 to 29 posts, members with 30 to 99 posts and senior members with 100+ posts. I know many of the people here have been posting since beginning of the year on the www.gameusedforum.com (http://www.gameusedforum.com) site. However, the new site accumulates from the date when the new forum was rolled out. That's why we are all junior members. I know many of us will be senior members in no time!
