Obviously not a gamer, but isn't that a sought-after store bat?

Well, they never really said it was game used, and by Mantle at that.

Putting the "Mantle Type" and the C model together, you would come to the conclusion that this is a store model bat.

Though players were known to use "Type" bats, again, the C model is a big giveaway.

I wouldn't pay 25 cents for this bat......He prolly took it to the local batting cage and hit some balls around for awhile. Gotta make it look somewhat game used......

Well thats you, im sure the person bidding could say the same about something you bought before. Also the wear on the bat is from it being old not going to the cages. And alot of the times C models were used by college teams.

Not to mention - store model or not - it's a VINTAGE 1964-1967 Adirondack... I mean the bat is over 40 years old.

From KeyMan Collectibles Adirondack/Rawlings dating:

Obviously shows signs that is was Black Inked.

Just an FYI...

ok, so the bat is "old". That makes it a game used? No he doesn't say it is game used, but "shows characteritics of game use"....obviously he is trying to say it's a game used mantle without actually saying it is. This bat isn't worth more than $50 I don't care how old it is.

You know the price is only $9.99.

I don't know where you live, but here in Denver you can sell Mantle bats (store models, Little League, etc) for $75 + all day long at shows.

A lot of people just want a vintage Mantle 'item' to have to show since the Game Used items are way out of most people's means ($25,000 and up)

I recently picked up a Mantle MM4 K55 (cracked) and put it out at the last show I did with a friend of mine. I marked it $75 obo - it was gone 10 minutes into setting our table up. It was clearly marked as a store model and such.

The same is true for Robinson, Aaron and Musial models.
