I picked up a 1946 Montreal Royals team signed mini bat including Jackie Robinson and a 1947 Royals team signed ball with Campanis! The bat was 1075.00 inc bp,I missed it 3 years ago and it went for 1700.00 with bp! The dirty global economy sometimes comes in handy!

The Royals 47 Team Ball Has Campanella Not Campanis,always Confuse The 2 Names,my Bad!

I went after, but lost, an absolutely amazing Jimmie Foxx 1939 sidewritten gamer.....with the return label, written in Foxx's hand, to the Hillerich & Bradsby Co. and a "2" cent stamp intact.

That was the year Foxx had a new teammate....a rookie by the name of Williams. Ted did just fine on his own. The bat went for $30,000 (over $35,000 with BP). I'm sick over it, but out of my current range.

So I settled for a bat I've attempted to win two other times in the last 9 years, the third time truly being the charm....Eddie Mathews 494th career home run bat.:)

Wow. (Period.) That is a mighty fine piece of lumber. And one of THE best inscriptions I have seen. (A-Rod should be ashamed.) Congratulations on a fine bat!

As I understand it, this is one of only two documented home run bats known in existence of Eddie Mathews. I feel lucky to have won it.
