While I am no expert, I believe there might be something wrong with the Emmitt Smith jersey in the upcoming Grey Flannel auction. I realize that some players wear different jersey sizes, but I was under the impression that Smith usually wore size 48 with the Cowboys. Compare the following images from the auction with images from getty images. Both images are from games during the 2002 season. The numbers on the front and back of the GF jersey are very close to eachother. They are almost touching. It also seems as though the spacing on the nameplate is off, but the evidence is less concrete. The photos of Emmitt from getty show that there is more space between the numbers. What does everyone else think?
