Can you verify if this model of bat would have been available in 2005 for the MLB Futures Game? I believe its an uncapped C243. Kyle, Any chance of a possible match? Any research you might have for me Brian would be greatly appreciated.

Garko the seller states it comes from Locker Room, he is a reputable seller of a lot of prospect players. He is also a member. You should ask him about the bat.

I sent them an email but no response.

I'm not saying the signature isnt legit. I am asking if it was actually game used in the futures game.

Garko I understand. My point being maybe he can tell you if he ever received that particular bat. On the auction I don't remember seeing an LOA. So does the LOA itself state that this was the bat used in the futures game? Also maybe LR can tell you if he did get that bat, did he have Garko add the inscription that it was from that game?

LR isnt great with responding to emails. I've sent several in the past and had to end up calling them. I might have to do so again.

Yes the C243 was available in 2005, it has been a production model since 1967.

I'm sure your next question will be did Ryan Garko have any of these unfinished, uncupped C243's made for him that would correspond to the Future's game. The answer is yes, twelve were made 6/23/05.

Hey Tom on that note I have two uncupped c243 Garko bats exactly like the one in auction. I do remember lockerroom selling that bat too, i just got mine for alot cheaper. It would be sweet to pick up the futures bat though, too bad it's way out of my garko bat price range. I hope you nab it. Good luck.
