WOW, 144 Yankee bats ordered and only three have been seen for sale???

Wonder where they all are?

Is Pudge hoarding them?

144 BATS???? HOLY SCHMOLEY!!

Wow I wonder how many of those bats are going to enter the market as Game Used????

BMH Just out of curiousity is there any way to tell when the actual order was placed by Pudge and or delivered to him?

I am just curious because then it would give us a pretty good idea how much time you actually had to use those bats. As I know when he first joined the Yankees he was using his Tiger Model bats.

I don't think he is hoarding them, I am sure he was using those for the World Baseball Classic.

BMH Thanks for all your help!!

John Taube has an Alex Rodriguez Louisville Slugger that Ivan Rodriguez used last year with the Yankees, I presume before he got his own bats. As I said, I have only seen three listed for sale . There have got to be a lot of unused ones out there.

Well I am not sure there are alot of unused ones out there yet.

He probably brought them with him to the WBC and whatever is left over will probably use for practice and then probably bring them to Spring Training for next season or something of that nature.

But your probably correct as quite a few will end up on the market somewhere. Hoepfully as Game Issued.

Pudge...is his own special person when it comes to bats. He hoards bats, we affectionately call him a bat wh*** because of all the different models, lengths, colors he uses. That is just from us, he'll get bats from other manufacturer's too. The only person I have met that comes close to him is Nomar. Who still has a few RedSox bats that he'll use from time to time.

Wasn't Rafael Palmeiro pretty close in using different brands of bats including Louisville Slugger. I used to collect his bats and I think he had used every brand of bat known to man.

Which order? He had 13 orders with us during his time at the Yankees. His first order was placed the same day he was traded by his agent.

cjclong, you are correct. It's been a while since Rafael's name has graced a bat with us.

BMH wow 13 orders?

Ok maybe this is a dumb question but why would a player make 13 orders? Why not make 1 or 2 orders so you have enough bats for the rest of the season?
When he got signed to the Yankees I think it was at the trade deadline and was only on the Yankees team for about a month and a half or something like that maybe 2 months at most.

Welcome to the world that is Pudge Rodriguez. I might complain about it, but Boras pays the bill so I don't care too much;)
