Hey Bob,

I was told by Jody it shows nice wear considering Hinske was a back up first baseman. Also that the way it is constructed with fairly tough & stiff leather w/ a broad pocket have help it keep its original look and feel.

I will post pics of the use after receiving it. I should be ok, the glove came directly from Hinske.

I see some light wear on the yellow lettering and on the MLB logo. Tough to tell but looks like there may be some wear at the finger hole as well.

The glove is very nice! Jody (ebayer-tadema) used to own it.

The sig can be easily removed with a soft cloth and virgin olive oil.....

I received the glove this evening, looks nice! It shows a lot more use and dirt and some pine tar on it than what shows up in the pics.

I will take pics in the daylight to see if it shows up better.

My only problem is I am running out of space on my shelves.....

I wanted to give a big thank you to Jody L. (ebayer Tadema) for selling me the Carlos Pena 2007 Nike glove. The glove was sold on ebay by Mead Chasky. Jody was the winning bidder. I bought the glove from Jody.

The glove was used possibly starting in 2005 and retired in 2007.

The glove is sooo easy to match from the wear.

Just received today a Terrell Wade Rawlings glove. I was hoping for it to be a Devil Rays glove. Does anyone know how to date it? It has one dot, not the Blackhorse code.

It has been awhile since getting a new glove. Well I have received two Devil Rays gloves in the past month.

A 2004 Paul Abbott Rawlings and a 09-02 Joe Kennedy.....The Kennedy glove is the secong Rawlings glove I have that has the date stamped on the inside of the wrist strap....

Here is what Mike said about the SSK glove.

However I do have another that I briefly used in Tampa which is embroidered. I attached a couple of pics of it. This glove has an interesting story behind it. You'll notice in the pics that there are holes in the back of the fingers. I had an issue with balls almost going through the fingers because the fingers were so long. In an effort to solve the problem I commissioned our trainer ken Crenshaw to add some laces between the fingers. He did but when I used the glove a few times I noticed the leather was starting to tear where the new laces were. So I removed the laces to save the glove from further damage and fired ken as my glove repairman.
