It's to late for me to register and there is a low-end item that closes on the 26th that I'd like to place a bid on. I just ran across it today so if anyone can help me out I'd greatly appreciate it. My e-mail is: deweystg@berkeley.edu

Thanks,
Dewey

Hate to jump on the bandwagon, but there are a couple I wouldn't mind getting and will pay a little extra if possible. Thanks!

I am just curious have any of you guys called the Auction houses directly and spoken to someone to register???

I have waited almost near to the last minute and have called up an auction house to register.

Trust me they are not going to turn away money!!! And I's be surprised if they did.

I would suggest if you want to bid in the current auction. Try calling someone and speaking to someone directly chances are they will make whatever exceptions they need to make to let more money into the auction

Just some advice!! I have done it!!

I called Mastro this morning and they registered me over the phone for the auction. Big thanks to gingi79 for offering to help me out. Just another reason I really appreciate GUU and its members. hb

if anyone's bidding on the "1993 ruben sierra" BP shirt, know that it's not from 1993 (my estimate puts it at 1986-88) and it wasn't worn by sierra. i've spoken to troy of mears about it and several days ago he said he told doug allen to take it down. apparently doug seems unable take the shirt down.

Suave, good advice for next time. I guess I should have known better considering money is involved. This is what I read last night on Mastro's site that prompted me to post this thread.

I completely got caught up in something else last night (my Tigers losing to VaTech) and flaked on the auction. I missed 1 PRIME jersey for my collection, which I would have paid at least 30% over what it went for and another that was so-so but ended cheap.

My question is this: One of the jerseys I was interested in ended with no bids. Do they ever sell the items after the auction ends for the opening bid price plus fees? I sent an email but haven't gotten a response yet.

I sent several emails after the last auction and didn't get any responses, so I took it to mean that they didn't want to deal with me.
