ok, so im sure this belongs in the february pickups, but I just had to show it off. I got this through Nick (bigstig) from the Cubs convention. we exchanged a couple dozen emails, and a handful of phone calls, and he was a huge help. THANK YOU Nick for this awesome addition to my collection!!!!

That is just beautiful. I just got my first batting helmet - a Yuniesky Betancourt at Mariners FanFest last January. Enjoy your collectible! :)

What did you have to shell out Marky?

Mark,

Congrat's on a nice pick-up! You should be able to photo match your Soriano helmet easily as as most players normally use one batting helmet for the entire season.

RK,

Hard to pin a dollar figure on it. I got a package deal- blue alternate jersey, home hat, belt, and the helmet. I guess if I broke it down the helmet would have been around $400.

Bobby

Bobby,

Even with the limited time I have, the helmet should be an easy photomatch with all that tar. Now if I could figure out how to correctly post the photomatch pictures :o

That's awesome, Mark. The Betancourt helmet I picked up wasn't nearly as neat.

frik,

Hey, a helmets a helmet. To me they seem hard to come by, especially for the player I collect (obviously soriano). Does Betancourt use lots of tar?

I don't have a clue, but it doesn't look like it from what I got. But I don't know, because most of the M's games I tune into are on the radio.

Mark,

Jump on my Links Page and check out US Wire Express under the photomatching section. Some killer closeups of your helmet, including a great homerun shot from 8/29.

Steve,

Not sure is the second part was directed to Bobby, but having a great piece like that photomatched is VERY cool to me (especially when 3 other people did the leg work-I can't say how much I apperciate it, but it was EXTREMELY nice of them). Plus you are right, the quality is great!!
