Ok guys, educate me. Beside the issue of limited wear ,price and the questionable authenticator, what makes this jersey unauthentic?

Seems to match up to Getty Images in a quick comparison, but lots of fake LT's out there. Eric owns a few as do a few other members who would be better equipped to judge. Would be interested to know his provenance story.

Seem to recall that seller in a negative way, but can't find any prior discussions here in search.

The Tomlinson jersey that I own has a tapered waistband that is very thin. So does the one sold through Hunt Auctions. The jersey being sold on e-bay has a much wider waistband and the jersey doesn't appear to be tapered as much as it should be.

Eric educated me on this subject last week and he referenced the Tomlinson jersey recently sold at the Super Bowl auction through Hunt Auctions. He pointed out that Tomlinson's real elastic waistband seems to bunch up a little:

There may be other issues with the e-bay jersey that Eric or others are better equiped to point out, but hopefully these two examples from Eric's explanation are helpful.

The 2006 Tomlinson jerseys have a different tail elastic than any other year. Without educating the crooks to much, attached are photos. Every aspect that is shown in the pictures, in the ad, looks correct. Notice the Reebok logo offsets from sleeve to sleeve. Sleeve length. The position of the bolts, going straight up on the shoulders. These are points that are not right when fakes are offered. There are a couple of little thing that make me think it is good. I have not tried to match it to game pictures and would like to know the history but, this may be real. I have owned 3, all from NFL auctions, and the wear on this appears less that all I have owned. Pictures should tell the truth.

Well no reponse from seller so far to my question of history of jersey. I did go to Getty and look for all pics I could find from 2006. The one thing that stands out to me is the positioning of the bolts on the sleeves. On the Ebay jersey the left side bolt seems to be a little high compared to the right. I could not find a pic with the left bolt being slightly higher than the top of the"T" in his name. In every example I viewed, the point on the bolt closest to the nameplate seemed to be in line with the top of the "T" in the name plate. Does anyone agree that this is the case or am I overthinking it?18571
