Wow, was just checking out ebay and came across this. It looks like the bottom of the "E" worn out and it looks like an "F" granted, but come on!:p

I've seen sellers make various listing blunders. I always write them a nice note alerting them to the problem. Most are appreciative and change the auction, sometimes at a big financial gain. I'll definitely write this guy.

Email sent. I hope he gets more money as a result of updating the listing.

Hard to say. Could be - talk to the seller.

JB1 on the knob. Johnny Bench and 31 inches.

So - that alone tells you it's store model. I like the glove the seller has. I just put a bid on it. It's cool even if it's only a retail model.

The JB1 is the initials of the player, and the 1 is the inches. Gamers from that time period would have the model number stamped on the knob. There are previous threads about this. Newer LS bats have the model numbers on the barrel above the player names.

Do you know anything about the glove that lady is listing? I have one bid on it, just for the he** of owning a vintage glove.

Les,
I don't know much about pro model gloves. I do know that modern gloves will have some sort of player identification such as most have the players names stitched on them. Vintage I don't know. You can check the model numbers, but again, I really can't tell if this is one or not. Do some research and maybe somebody on here that has more expertise in this area can help. It does appear to be a first basemans glove, but I don't know if 12.5 inches is big enough. Anyone?
